William Taylor died of wounds on this day but as yet we have no further information regarding his death. He was buried at Wimereux in France, many miles behind the front line, so we can presume that he was wounded on an earlier date. 4th Dragoon Guards were part of 2nd Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division and In April and May 1915 had been engaged in the desperate struggle in the north-east sector of the Ypres salient, which became known as Second Ypres. |
